NECC Named Haverhill Chambers Septembers Member of the Month

HAVERHILL – The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce recognized Northern Essex Community College (NECC) as their September Business of the Month.

 

“NECC embodies dedication to educational excellence, community impact, and student success,” said Katie Cook, President of the Greater Haverhill Chamber. “Forging strong local partnerships and offering innovative, accessible programs, NECC consistently leads with integrity and inclusion.”

 

Cook explained that the Greater Haverhill Chamber recognizes a different member business, non-profit, or organization each month, highlighting the impact they individually have on the region’s economy.

 

“NECC has been a cornerstone of opportunity and innovation for our region,” said Cook. “The college goes above and beyond by providing accessible, high-quality education, creating pathways for student success.”

 

“We’re about educating the Merrimack Valley workforce of the future,” said NECC President Lane A. Glenn. “We provide tools to adults of all ages so that they can better their position in the economy, enhance their quality of life, and serve as engines of the Merrimack Valley’s growth.”

 

Glenn noted in addition to educating, NECC provides support to employers across the region.

 

“We keep our students and alum connected to a robust pool of employers, helping fill essential needs for our workforce,” said Glenn. “Further, many of our area businesses partner with us to provide continuing education, so that their employees develop the additional skills to keep our area businesses competitive.”
