Award Winners for 2011

Each month, the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce Membership Services Committee recognizes a member business in our 14 community service area that have been active in the Chamber and the community throughout the year and each year, the committee further recognizes outstanding businesses who go above and beyond the requirements of Business of the Month, to truly embody an organization deserving recognition as an annual award winner.

The Membership Services Committee has expanded the annual award categories from five to thirteen, considering all of the businesses who have prospered during the difficult economic climate and who have made an impression in their industries. Annual award winners are:

• A member of two years or more in good standing,
• A business who has made an impression on the Chamber throughout the year they are selected, by their involvement as a volunteer, sponsor or participant in programs and events,
• A business who recognizes, values, and uses their membership to enhance their reputation and foster their growth and that of the overall community,
• A business who has made a presence in the community as a volunteer, advocate, financial supporter or other,
• A business who has grown throughout the year or prospered in their respective industry,
• Members can win once in every five years.

• Manufacturing: Leisure Line Custom Embroidery & Silk Screen
• Pioneer of the Year: Simply Elegant Catering
• Restaurant: Keon's Bistro
• Retail/Wholesale:The Eagle-Tribune
• Rookie of the Year: International Institute of Gr. Lawrence, Inc.
• Service for Non-Profit: Home Health VNA-Merrimack Valley Hospice-HomeCare, Inc.
• Service for Profit: Covanta Energy, Inc.
• Women in Business: Paper Potpourri
