They installed flooring and siding and painted a single family home at 73 Rock Street in Lowell. When completed, the house will be home for a former victim of domestic abuse and her son. The home is scheduled to be completed in June and dedicated to the new homeowners on June 21st. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell is a non-profit working towards eliminating poverty housing and homelessness by building and rehabbing simple decent affordable homes with the help of the homeowner and volunteers. Qualified families need to apply and be committed to volunteering 450 hours of labor on their homes or other projects. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell builds homes in Bedford, Billerica, Burlington, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Concord, Dracut, Dunstable, Lowell, Reading, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro, Wakefield, Westford and Wilmington. “Align has been a huge supporter of Habitat over the past several years — not only in the Greater Lowell area but in all of Eastern Massachusetts. It’s inspiring to see a company like Align that really wants to make a difference in their community and does it, not only with financial support but with their own time and talents. They put words into action and make our community a better place to live for many deserving families,” said Brenda Gould, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell. “The women of Align Credit Union are strong ambassadors. Building a home connects them to the communities and the residents they serve. We are pleased to support Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell. This amazing organization is making shelter a matter of action. By harnessing the sweat equity of volunteers and the generous donations of companies, Habitat for Humanity will provide a home to a deserving family,” said Align President Ken Del Rossi. “Align is proud to be involved with such an amazing organization.”]]>
