The Haverhill Community Housing Needs Workshop

 In Member News

Regional Housing Plan for the Merrimack Valley. This project will engage a variety of stakeholders throughout the region to identify the types of housing we need, who we need to create housing for, and what strategies and partnerships need to be in place to accomplish local and regional goals to create housing for all. The final plan will include a chapter, focused on Haverhill, that will serve as our community’s certifiable housing production plan over the next 5 years. On Tuesday, July 18 at 7 pm, we invite you to participate in the Haverhill Community Housing Needs Workshop to discuss housing needs in Haverhill. The workshop will begin with an overview of local demographics and our existing housing scenario, followed by a facilitated, interactive discussion of our community’s housing needs now and in the future. We will meet at Haverhill High School located at 137 Monument Street for the hour-long workshop. In addition to local conversations about housing needs, MVPC is hosting Regional Open House events throughout the region. The next Regional Open House is on Wednesday, September 27 at 6 pm at the Barking Dog Ale House in Haverhill. To RSVP for the event, view the presentation from the recent Open House, and learn about this project, please visit MVPC’s Regional Housing webpage: http://mvpc.org/programs/regional-housing-plan/ Finally, MVPC invites you to be part of an ongoing, online conversation using coUrbanize.
