Site Readiness Program – Now accepting applications for second round of awards!

The Site Readiness Program aims to boost the Commonwealth’s inventory of large, well-located, project-ready sites; accelerate private-sector investment in industrial and commercial projects; and support the conversion of abandoned sites and obsolete facilities into clean, actively-used, tax-generating properties. In its first year (FY17), the Site Readiness Program awarded approximately $1.8 million to support predevelopment activities for 14 projects across the Commonwealth. For FY18, the Program will award up to $2.5 million for uses including strategic site acquisition and preparation in addition to the previously eligible predevelopment purposes. The deadline for application submissions is November 3. Awards will be announced in March, 2018.
