July Art Walk welcomes Ruth’s House to the route!

Haverhill, MA — Haverhill Art Walk brings live music, artist demonstrations and workshops to downtown on Saturday, July 10th, 3-7pm.

Ruth’s House provides clothing and employment training opportunities to individuals and families throughout the Merrimack Valley. The Lafayette Square thrift shop is excited to participate in Haverhill Art Walk. They extend their hours to host artists Katherine Pazzanese and Melissa Partridge during the event.

Buttonwoods Museum at 240 Water Street is coming back to Art Walk with the Greater Haverhill Arts Association Summer Members Exhibit along with live demonstrations by artists Maria Nemchuk and Sandra Goldberg from 3-5pm. Continue downtown to HC Media for a neon installation by Nick McKnight and a collage greeting card workshop hosted by Abby Hutt from 3-5pm.

The Switchboard welcomes 2020 artist-in-residence Tina Gagnon back to 43 Washington St. for the month of July. She will be sharing her intricate colored pencil designs, and Marc Mannheimer will be set-up with his screen printed shirts capturing an intimate glimpse of Haverhill. Head over to Wingate St. and grab a pint at Peddler’s Daughter where Nia Walkowiah will be leading a cyanotype demonstration.

Like June Art Walk, the artist collective Heaventown Haverhill will be at Washington Square, serving as a mecca for music, in addition to spots chosen by bands and acoustic performers who will be busking along the route. Wicked Big will also be hosting an open mic from 4-6pm with work by Pixie Yates on exhibit in the café.

Haverhill Art Walk highlights local businesses and underutilized spaces with plein air painting, exhibitions, demonstrations, and music performances. This indoor and outdoor program takes place on the second Saturday of the month from 3-7pm and runs through September.

Haverhill Art Walk is coordinated by Hailey Moschella in conjunction with Creative Haverhill to support the local arts community. Haverhill Art Walk is supported by a grant from the Haverhill Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, as well as the Mass Cultural Council Cultural Districts program.
